Biography

Natsumi Tsuboi has won 1st Prize and Audience Prize at the 12th Tokyo Music Competition in 2014, 4th Prize at Michael Hill International Violin Competition 2015, 5th Prize at 9th Fritz Kreisler International Violin Competition in 2018, and 3rd Prize at The 81st Music Competition of Japan in 2012.

She has played with various professional orchestras such as Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra, Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra, New Japan Philharmonic, Japan Philharmonic Orchestra and Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra. 

 

She obtained Bachelor of Music and Master of Music at Tokyo University of the Arts and won Ataka Award and Accunthus Music Award.

Natsumi also graduated from “Musik und Kunst Privatuniversitaet der Stadt Wien” Master-Diplom with the help of Scholarship from The Meiji Yasuda Cultural Foundation, 

Natsumi was selected as an artist of Chanel Pygmalion Days 2018. She occasionally appeared on broad casting programs such as “La La La Classic” of NHK-E-Tele and “Recital Nova” of NHK-FM.

She has studied with Lydia Mordkovitch, Mateja Marinkovitch, Ryoko Shimizu, Michiko Kamiya, Pierre Amoyal, Koichiro Harada, Asako Urushihara, Masafumi Hori, Pavel Vernikov and is currently studying with Daishin Kashimoto.

Since July 2019, she has been a "1st Violin Vorspieler” at the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra.

She studied in Berlin as a scholar of the Karajan Academy of the Berlin Philharmonic from 2021 April to 2023 March.
